About the Artwork

What’s the difference between an original painting and a fine art print?

An original painting is the real, one-of-a-kind artwork I have painted in my studio. A fine art print is a beautifully crafted reproduction, printed on gallery quality canvas so you can enjoy the piece in your home without the price of a full original.

How are your prints produced — are they high quality?

Absolutely. All prints are produced in partnership with a Victoria-based professional fine-art print studio known for exceptional craftsmanship. They use museum-grade archival inks and canvases, and a fully colour-managed process to ensure every print is vibrant, detailed, and made to last for decades. Their in-house framing is also hand-finished to gallery standards, so your artwork arrives looking its absolute best.

Are the prints limited edition?

Yes. All fine art prints are limited edition. I create only 50 prints per size, and once an edition sells out, it won’t be reprinted in that format again.

This keeps each piece exclusive and makes your print feel even more special to collect.

Will my print look exactly like the original painting?

Your print will be a faithful, high-quality reproduction of the original artwork. Every piece is professionally colour-matched so the tones, textures, and details feel true to the painting.

Because it’s a print rather than a textured canvas, you won’t feel the physical brushstrokes — but the depth, richness, and character of the artwork are still beautifully preserved.

Most collectors tell me they’re amazed at how close the prints feel to the original.

Are the original artworks signed or come with a certificate of authenticity?

Yes. All original artworks are hand-signed and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Occasionally, when a full siigniture would impede the look of a paintiing, I will initial the front and sign the back.

The certificate includes the artwork’s title, size, materials, along with my signature, so you can be confident in the provenance of your piece.

Framing & Display

What framing options are available for prints?

For Australian collectors, I’m able to offer beautifully crafted ready-to-hang frames. You can choose from:

  • Flooded Gum – a warm, sustainable, natural timber that beautifully complements nature-inspired artwork and interiors
  • White – clean, bright, and modern
  • Black – timeless and elegant, perfect for bold contrasts

All Australian-framed prints and originals arrive professionally finished and ready for your wall.

For international orders, both originals and prints are shipped unframed and rolled in a postage tube. This ensures the artwork travels safely and avoids the risk of damage to frames or the canvas itself in long-distance transit. It also allows you to choose a local framer who can match the exact style of your home, which almost always more cost effective in lue of postage and insurance costs.

If you ever need framing guidance, I’m always happy to help!

Can I order my print unframed or rolled for custom framing?

Absolutely. All prints are have unframed and/or rolled options, which is perfect if you’d prefer to work with your own framer or match a specific style in your home. Either option is carefully packaged to ensure they arrive safe and ready to frame however you like.

Why are orders outside of Australia shipped as rolled canvas only?

To ensure your artwork arrives safely and cost-effectively, all international orders are shipped as rolled canvases rather than pre-stretched or framed. This method offers the best protection during long-distance travel. Stretched pieces can be vulnerable to breakage, the wooden stretcher bars are especially vulnerable to shattering in transit, which can damage the artwork itself.

Shipping rolled also helps keep costs manageable. Framing and stretching locally is often more cost-effective than the additional international freight fees required for large, pre-framed art. As it is, I am happy to absorb shipping costs into the price of my products, which simplifies your shopping experience. These costs include insurance and getting your signature on arrival.

Original works will arrive in either heavy-duty cardboard mailing tubes, or PVC tubes, depending on size. Once your piece arrives, any local framer will be able to stretch or frame it to your preferred finish.

What’s the best way to frame or hang a rolled canvas print?

Rolled canvas prints offer flexibility so you can display them exactly how you like. Here’s the best approach:

  1. Flatten the print first:

Gently roll it in the opposite direction for a few minutes, or lay it flat under a clean, heavy surface for a day or two to reduce curling.

  2. Choose your framing option:

Gallery-style floating frame: Perfect for a modern, clean look while keeping the edges visible.

Traditional frame with backing board: Keeps the canvas stretched and protected.

  3. Stretching:

Some framers can stretch the canvas onto a wooden stretcher frame, giving it the look and feel of an original painting. My prints come with a complimentary coloured border too accommodate this

  4. Local framer recommendation:

For the best results, I recommend taking your rolled print to a professional framer, especially if you want archival-quality mounting and UV-protective glass.

  5. Behind glass

Mount on a backing board and use UV-protective glass for a sleek, protective finish.

Tip: Proper framing not only enhances the artwork but also preserves its vibrant colours for decades.

How do I care for my artwork to ensure its longevity?

Both prints and originals are created using UV-protected, archival-quality materials, so their colours remain vibrant for years.

To keep them looking their best, avoid direct sunlight, keep them away from moisture and humid conditions, and dust gently with a soft cloth. Handling carefully and framing with archival or UV-protective glass will further ensure your artwork stays beautiful for decades.
